The Blackthorn High School Rugby Program—coached by Bryan and Michelle Moore—is for players enrolled in grades 9 to 12. Matches are played in the spring between teams of 15-a-side on a full-sized pitch. Although most Laws of the senior game apply, there are modifications (See High School Divisional Rules & Regulations). Besides playing a
round-robin schedule, teams also participate in an EPRU Championship.

On a dark, wet evening and with their backs against the wall with an oh-and-two season, Blackthorn Girls knew it was do-or-die against an arch-nemesis in the Doylestown Girls.
