We have a practice field reserved for Friday 5:30 - 7 at Holiday Park in Lauderdale (few miles from hotel). The city is going to turn on the lights for us.
Our first match on Saturday is at 10 AM, Trade Winds Park is a good 30 minute drive from downtown Lauderdale.
Looks like our second match is at 1 PM...probably best to stay at the fields.
Would like to invite everyone to our home after our practice on Friday. beer & food We live a couple of blocks from the practice field. Bahia, practice field and our home are all within a couple of miles.
Have not been able to determine substitution rules...probably be decided on the field. Looks like we might have as many as 50 people coming down. Good luck to the selectors!
I have three tee times on Friday afternoon at Jacaranda Golf Club 1:37, 1:45, 1:52. Have confirmed: slice, shuttleworth, levitan, d.rae. Have to cancel tee times 24 hours in advance...so let me know. Course is about 15 minutes away.
Directions:
Airport to Bahia: exit airport on to US 1 North. US1 north to 17th street (turn right). 17th st. turns into A!A north when you hit the beach. Bahia is on the left hand side. A lot of the signs are still down from the hurricane...I think Bahia Cabana has a banner.
Bahia to Holiday Park (practice field): A!A North to Los Olas (turn left). Turn right at 15 th Ave. Turn left on Broward Blvd. Right on US 1. Right on Sandy Nininger Dr. Stay to the right to football fields.
Holiday Park to Gillette's: US 1 South, turn left on Broward Blvd. Turn left on 14th Ave. We are at 517 NE 14th Ave. If you get to a rounabout, you went too far.
Bahia to Gillette's: A1A North, Left on Los Olas. right on 15th Ave. Left on Broward Blvd. Quick right on 14th Ave.
Bahia to Trade Winds: A1A north, left on Los Olas, right on 15th Ave. left on Broward Blvd, take Broward Blvd West to I 95 north. Exit Sample road and go west. The field is about three miles on the left. Just past turnpike entrance.
